“When we were not / An amateur look on emptiness” is a video and sound installation focusing on man made and natural landscapes. Emerging from amateur archives and self shot images, this work proposes an immersive journey into an amateur world, finding the non temporal spaces, the glitches in the time-space, the sparse and momentary calm frames, the non human silences.

This piece is based on a self built private super 8 archive collected over 15 years, that encompasses a variety of topographies and geologies from Europe to South America, from the Antarctica to Asia, from Africa to North America and Australia.

Fusing film and sound in an anachronistic but synched mesh between different geographies and abandoned landscapes, loosing time references, mixing non lived memories and lived moments. An encounter between archive, present and past tenses.

Proposing a long immersive exposure to sound the piece travels between reality and drones, between foley and sound-design. This sound / sound design / music creations have as source recordings made (not only, but also) as a sound engineer on documentary film sets around the world, but also from an archive of sound libraries in vinyl and tapes made in the 60, 70, and 80 for amateurs to sonorize their own private super 8 films.

“Postcards from here” is a live installation and sound performance where the subjects of distance, relation to a stranger, the private, public and personal, are explored.

Personal recorded sounds from exhibition/performance attendees from the city Schwerin were sent to Berlin. A reply composition was made using those sounds and sent via mail to the place of exhibition where the recipient will open it in a private public moment, listening for the first time to composition made for them§§§. The art piece is for the person to take home. What’s left of the piece for the public is the video/sound register of the performance. The life spam of the art piece is set but the small battery life closed inside the postcards.

Latitude 56 is a morning set by a sunrise machine.

Sound wakes up like sunrises. In my street there are four, four streets, four different sunrises, four sound sourses. I Live in latitude 56, sun takes between 2 to 3 minutes from the first ray to the fully formed ball. Sometimes snows, rains, sometimes you get a glipse of light. The light is filtered like the sound, throu the streets.
